Women's Wellbeing Yoga

This is my own personal style of yoga for ALL women in the various phases of  life.

Women’s Wellbeing Yoga uses yoga flows alongside exercises that specifically target the deeper core muscle structures to bring the abdominals together while strengthening them. Creating a restored, strong and stable core is very important for all women. Woven through the practice are mindfulness and breathing techniques to fill your cup and give you the R&R to tackle the daily challenges life may bring.

This practice aims to bring women together, to find the support networks that women need when bringing up children, seeing children leave home and navigating perimenopause and menopause. Women who completely understand what it means to be a woman today. It’s time for you to find your the tribe, to encourage you, to hold you up and support you.

Candlelight Yin Yoga

Candlelight Yoga is a class to restore your body and soul. It is based on the principles of Yin Yoga. Yin yoga is centred around the Chinese principle of Qi and the meridians. It is a slow and still form of yoga where passive yoga poses can be held for 5-10 mins. This allows for the stretching of the deeper tissues of the body including the fascia.

The fascia is a web of material that connects your entire body and on a physical level can be why an injury in your leg can produce pain in a different part of your body – it’s all connected. However, the fascia has also been linked to the energetic systems within the body and it is thought that it could be one of the ways that Qi or Prana is distributed around the body.

This practice, in complete candle light will leave you feeling, relaxed, rested and rejuvenated. While giving you that lovely stretched out feeling.

Yoga Rituals

Yoga Rituals is a monthly (ish) workshop held to mark special dates each month.

Using yoga and ritual, we connect with the moon cycles, the wheel of the year and significant astrological events. Leaning into my Celtic roots, I will guide you through practices to connect to nature, the earth, the elements and the energies of the time of year.

These workshops bring together yoga, ritual, cacao ceremony, movement, breathwork and elements of wellbeing coaching together into a two hour session just for you.

These workshops are designed for every ability, they are vey gentle, with modifications and hands on assistance by myself to keep you safe. The focus is to spend time together connecting to natures timing and the whispers of your inner wisdom.

Yoga rituals will show you how to connect to the season, the moon cycle and your body, in a beautiful ceremony that you can take with you off the mat and into your life.

Midwife-Led Pregnancy Yoga

Pregnancy yoga can help to maintain normal movement of the muscles and joints. Keeping active in pregnancy is important not only physically but for mental wellbeing too. It allows you to really tune in and listen to the whispers of the body. The body is full of wisdom, especially in pregnancy, it will tell you what you need from moment to moment. Yoga helps you to listen to those whispers, showing you what you need to take care of yourself.

Pregnancy yoga is helpful at any stage of pregnancy. However, there is no better time to use the yoga poses and breathing you will learn than during labour and birth. Pregnancy yoga can also support you in helping your baby to get into the best position for birth.

The classes are informal, open, relaxing and tailored to your stage of pregnancy. A place where you can meet other Mums to be, connect and share. Relaxation is a priority, gently stretching and moving the muscles with helpful pregnancy and birth tips as we go along.

As I am a midwife you can also ask me anything, if I can help, I will.

Bespoke 1:1 and small group sessions tailored to your needs also available. This can be for general strength and conditioning, to restorative core sessions focusing on diastasis recti and pelvic floor function.
